Keystone is seeking Staff Consultants in Washington, DC to support one of our valued clients, one of the world's leading professional services firms and the fastest growing Big Four accounting firms in the United States.

The Staff Consultant will provide accounting and financial statement expertise to support client audit readiness program activities assist in preparation of financial statement processes, procedures, and audit schedules, assist with the development and implementation of corrective action plans.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide audit readiness support.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of corrective action plans.
  • Review and analyze accounting detail transactions for accuracy.
  • Monitor the posting, review, validation, and reconciliation of accounting data with source documents and/or feeder systems.
  • Analyze and evaluate accounting and financial policies, systems, and proposed system changes.
  • Assist in development, coordination and analyzing of accounting procedures to resolve operational problems.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business management or related field.
  • MUST BE A US CITIZEN with an Interim Secret Security Clearance (or higher) or possess the ability and intention of obtaining a Secret Clearance. 
  • Must have 20 hours of continuing professional education and training this year and 120 hours of continuing professional education and training over a three-year rolling period. 
  • 1 year of Federal or DOD audit experience is a plus.

Desired Skills: 

  • GAAP / GAGAS / Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR) experience.
  • Familiarity with DoD and Air Force financial management policies and procedures.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Problem-solving ability.
