Keystone provides Audit, Accounting, and Advisory Services in the areas of financial and administrative management, organizational and business improvement, program management support, budget support, financial analytical services and reconciliation, technology management and staff augmentation.

Keystone is looking for a Director of Strategic Sourcing & Contract Management to support one of our clients, a Non-For-Profit Health Care Provider in the Illinois Medical District. The organization is a teaching hospital that provides primary, specialty and tertiary healthcare services. The hospital has a staff of more than 300 attending physicians along with more than 400 medical residents and fellows.

The Director of Strategic Sourcing & Contract Management will Perform Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing and Contract Management leadership across multiple facilities and clinics, developing system level contract initiatives and forecast opportunities to drive organizational savings. Oversees the Procurement function to ensure seamless acquisition of supplies, services, and goods.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Plan, direct and supervise the procurement, contract management and contract sourcing functions within the hospital system.  
  • Develop and implement the Sourcing/Contracting/Procurement strategies that meet the hospital systems strategic goals, and incorporates use of a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO).
  • Identify all contracts that are non-compliant and determine the risk to the hospital system. 
  • Identify expiring contracts and take appropriate actions to assure uninterrupted services.
  • Works collaboratively with Physicians, Nursing Administration, Executive Administration, and all other CCHHS staff to achieve coordinated cost efficient and cost effective objectives.
  • Ensure that all contracts meet MBE/WBE requirements and all other Cook County and State requirements.
  • Responsible for the achievement of the hospital system's Key Performance Indicators (KPI) annual targets as established by the hosptial systems CCHHS Supply Chain leadership.
  • Responsible for communicating upcoming changes, issues and trends to on-site Executive Leadership, Nursing leadership and Department Directors in a timely, clear and concise manner.
  • Responsible for assisting the System Director Supply Chain Management in the execution of project plans for the implementation of Strategic Sourcing and Contracting plans affecting each facility.
  • Promptly resolves any service issues which do not support Service Levels Agreements (SLAs).
  • Prepare information, presentations and facilitates meeting between staff, physicians, and other appropriate parties in support of Supply Chain Management and facility based projects.
  • Create a supportive environment for the Supply Chain staff development.
  • Serve in various roles as assigned by the System Director Supply Chain management.

 

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, (required)
  • Master’s degree, (preferred)

Professional Credentials:

  • Certified Materials and Resource Professional (preferred),
  • Paralegal experience or certification, (preferred)

Experience:

  • 10 years or more of experience performing Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing and Contract Management (required).
  • 5 years direct responsibility in contract development and negotiations (required)
  • Prior experience leading a procurement function (required)
  • Prior direct fiscal responsibility for managing and planning expenditures exceeding $50 million (required).
  • 5 - 7 years of Supervisory or Management Experience (required).
