ACCOUNTANT (FEDERAL experience required)

Keystone Advisors is an independent certified public accounting firm licensed in the State of Illinois.

Keystone provides Audit, Accounting, and Advisory Services in the areas of financial and administrative management, organizational and business improvement, program management support, budget support, financial analytical services and reconciliation, technology management and staff augmentation to leading Accounting and Audit firms in Chicago, Washington, DC and other metropolitan areas.

Keystone is looking for an Accountant with federal experience to support one of our valued clients in Alexandria, VA, one of the world's leading professional services firms and the fastest growing Big Four accounting firms in the United States.

The Accountant will provide accounting and financial statement expertise to support the client with federal audit readiness program activities and assist in financial statement compilation, processes and procedures.  


JOB RESPONSIBILITES

  • Assist in compilation of Federal financial statements by posting transactions to the General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable system utilizing the SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling module
  • Perform quarterly closing of financial accounts of Federal agencies

Job Requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & cERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, finance, business or related field.
  • 2 years or more of Federal Accounting Experience
  • MUST BE A US CITIZEN with an Interim Secret Security Clearance (or higher) or possess the ability and intention of obtaining a Secret Clearance
  • Experience posting transactions in the SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling Module or other Federal Accounting Systems
  • Experience with the United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL)
  • CPA or meet CPA eligibility requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

DESIRED SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS

  • CGFM, CDFM, CIA, CISA, CICA or other professional certification is a plus
  • DOD/DLA experience is a Plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
